Favorite Song:

I am obsessed with this song! I've known about it for a while, but I have had it on repeat this week. I first learned of this song while I was at work and ever since I've heard it, it is just one of those songs that will never get old in my opinion. 

Favorite Quote:

"Don't promise when you're happy, Don't reply when you're angry, and don't decide when you are sad."

This quote ties into practicing mindfulness so perfectly. I have a hard time sometimes and I allow my emotions to get in the way, but I have been working on that daily. 

Favorite Drink:

I've been trying to not drink as much coffee lately (which is a struggle) and I've started to love: WATER! It sounds so silly, but theres so many ways you can jazz up your water and enjoy it. My favorite combination to flavor my water with is with cucumber and lemon. It's super refreshing!

Favorite Movie:

I've been really into watching documentaries lately. I watched a documentary on the JFK conspiracy theory this week and it was so good. It's on Netflix and I suggest you watch it. I love movies or shows that are based on real, true stories, and that make you think. 

Favorite Food:

I've been super conscious of what I put in my body this week, so I have been trying to eat healthier. I have been making avocado toast all week for breakfast. 

Favorite Makeup:

I have been doing a more simple,clean look lately. I like to keep my face looking healthy and natural with my makeup. To give myself that glow from within look, I have been really reaching for my highlighters this week! My ultimate favorite two highlighters to mix together are the Becca highlighter in Moonstone and the Ambient Light palette from Hourglass.

Winter Wonderland Tag: 1|24|16

Happy Sunday everyone! Being from NYC, you're used to snow every winter. We have an occasional storm every few years and this year we sure had a storm to remember! We got about 20-25 inches of snow over the weekend here, and I've been cooped up in my house watching Netflix and stuffing my face with food (which is bad I know!) While I'm stuck in the house, I was searching the internet for a winter tag to do and came across the Winter Wonderland Tag. I thought it would be a fun tag to do and hope you all will do the tag with me. I tag each and every one of you that read this post! Have some fun!

What do you like best about winter?

My favorite thing about winter is being able to layer clothing and wearing giant, blanket like scarves to keep me warm. I love winter fashion because you can layer and be super warm and cozy while looking stylish at the same time. 

Scarves or beanies?

Scarves, for sure! I love all kinds of scarves, but my favorite are the giant blanket scarves that can be worn a multitude of ways.

Favorite Winter Nail Polish?

I love muted,neutral colors for winter. I love wearing gray or mauve tones on my nails.

Favorite Starbuck's drink?

My favorite Starbuck's drink to warm me up is a hot green tea latte. I'm obsessed with anything matcha flavored!

What are your top 3 winter essentials?

My top 3 winter essentials are:

-Chapstick because no one likes dry chapped lips

-Body butter to help lock in moisture as skin tends to be drier in the winter

-Scarves to keep warm

Must have winter lip product.

I love using lip scrubs to get rid of and prevent future dry, flaked, or cracked skin on my lips.

Favorite Winter Candle Scent.

I love anything that smells like cookies or baking. I'm currently burning a Yankee Candle scented Almond Toffee and it smells AMAZING! Thanks to my co-worker for gifting me this ;)

Favorite Song:

I am obsessed with this song at the moment. It's just one of those pick me up songs that will put you in a good mood no matter what. I always start with this song when I get ready for my day. It's just super catchy!

Favorite Food:

This week I went for breakfast with my boyfriend to a local bakery/cafe which was so amazing. If you're in the NYC area it's called Piece-A-Cake and everything there is to die for! I had pancakes with nutella inside, outside, and all around it and it was amazing!

Favorite Quote:

This couldn't be more true in regards to bettering myself every day. 

Favorite Makeup:

This is a new part of my weekly favorites! I've recently been in the market for a new foundation because I suffer from oily/acne prone skin. I came across the brand Pacifica, and I fell in love with the way this foundation looks on my skin.

I was so excited when Coldplay came out with new music. I am a huge fan, and this song just puts me in a good mood!

Favorite Drink:

This week, I'm obsessing over my regular drink from Starbuck's, a green tea latte. It is such a delicious pick me up and a great alternative to when I'm not in the mood for coffee.

Being it is a new year, this quote resonated with me. I am always trying to work on myself and it is a big challenge. I try and do subtle things each and every day that'll make me happy.

Desi Perkins

Desi has always been a favorite of mine, but this week she wins the top spot. When I first discovered Desi, she was a blonde bombshell doing amazing makeup week after week. Recently, she started a vlog channel with her husband, Steven. Their editing skills are amazing and it makes me appreciate their work so much. And also, Desi went brunette this week and I am DYING at how beautiful she looks!

Favorite Brand:

I have obsessed over Club Monaco for as long as I can remember. I've always wanted to be able to afford their clothing, but it was always too expensive for me. Recently, I went on their site and noticed they were having a sale. I finally can say I own something from their store and I am super excited to style it. I bought the Lindy Soft Trench in olive and I am so in love. The coat is so soft and lightweight, and I cannot wait to layer pieces with it and wear big chunky scarves.

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog...I hope you are all having a great day! As the week is winding down and the weekend approaches us, I am back with another weekly favorites, as promised. This week, I have been busy with work and I find the best way for me to unwind is to watch YouTube. I don't know what it is, but I can sit for hours watching video after video and it truly keeps me at peace. Before I start rambling on, let get into this week's favorites.

Shrek! I had movie night with my brother this week and we had so much fun reliving our childhood by watching this movie.

I've been obsessing over this latte I get at my local coffee shop. It's nothing special it's just a regular latte, but the latte art gets me every time!

My favorite video this week is definitely from the SacconeJolys. I am obsessed with this family and cannot get over how adorable their children, Emilia and Eduardo are. One of their daily vlogs this week included an episode that had precious little Eduardo talking up a storm!
