New Year's Resolutions : 1|3|16

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog, and once again Happy New Year! I hope everyone is having a great day and a fresh start to the new year. Now that the new year is upon us, I thought I would share my New Year's resolutions with you all. Of course I have some of the generic resolutions like everyone else has but I'm trying to better myself in all aspects of my life so some resolutions may seem small and trivial, but I think they will improve my overall self-confidence and help myself on beginning to truly love myself. Without further ado, here are my New Year's Resolutions!

1. Eat cleaner and drink more water- I know this sounds like a basic resolution that everyone chooses, but I do need to take better care of my body because as cliche as it may sound, you only get one so you better make the most of it. 

2.Get out and exercise more- I want to make a point of going out everyday for a walk. Whether it be just around the block, or walking a couple of miles, I think it will be good for me to just be alone with my thoughts. I also want to start a challenge or possibly join the Tone It Up community and improve my overall health. 

3.Read more books- I used to read all of the time. I recently received the book, Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert from my boyfriend for Christmas and I plan to start reading it this week. I want to read more books about improving yourself and finding your inner creativeness. I think and I know reading will improve my knowledge and learn about new things every day. 

4.Appreciate more- I just want to be more grateful for what I already have. I often get down on myself because I am nowhere near where I want to be, but that is okay. I am on a journey to achieve my dreams. I have to realize it takes time to achieve your goals, but they are attainable. I want to appreciate my family and close relationships more, I want to appreciate everything that I already own, and I want to appreciate myself more and realize that I am doing the best that I can. 

5. Start a YouTube Channel- This is my most terrifying resolution and I am finally going to pursue it. I have wanted to start a YouTube channel since I was 15 years old. I am now 23, and I think I am ready to start creating content that I want to share with the world. I am terrified of the hate and negativity, but I hope the happiness and positivity outweighs the bad. Here's to sharing my creative side in 2016!

My Blog Design : November 6, 2015

Hello everyone ! I hope everyone is having a wonderful and productive day. I wanted to do a post today on my blog design and why I chose for my blog to look the way that it does. When I first made my blog, I was brand new to figuring out what looks nice and what works. I had a banner or four pictures that I thought looked AMAZING, but after a while I realized I didn't like it that much. As I was doing my research and finding inspiration from some of my favorite fashion bloggers, I knew exactly how I wanted to recreate my blog. I decided on a clean, straight forward look. I know when I look at blogs, I enjoy viewing pages that are neat and straight to the point. I tried to make the layout of my blog myself and after a while of trying, I decided I needed to enlist some help in my design. I tried using some free layouts but they offer too many restrictions. I then found a site that has beautiful designs and I fell in love. The site I came across was called Designer Blogs. They have such cute, clean, and creative themes and layouts that I knew I was in the right place. I purchased my layout and couldn't be happier with it. I plan to further re-vamp my page, but for now I am totally happy with my design and will continue to improve it as I go. I hope you all enjoyed this post. Have a great day!

Hello everyone! I have been saving up my money because I am really lusting over a few jewelry pieces. I have recently been watching YouTuber Alexandrea Garza and let me tell you, she is amazing! My Beach Bag Essentials : August 24, 2015

My Top 5 Fall Essentials : August 23, 2015

Hello everyone ! Happy Sunday ! I hope everyone has had a day full of relaxation. I thought I would post my five essentials for the upcoming fall season. I cannot wait for fall and cannot wait to style some of my key pieces in my wardrobe. My top five essentials for fall are : a chunky sweater, a blazer, joggers, comfy sneakers, and a big wool fedora. I believe all of these pieces can be put together to create an effortlessly cool vibe no matter what. All of these pieces alone add a cooler vibe to any outfit. My Biggest Inspiration : August 1, 2015

Happy August ! I figured I'd start this month off with an inspirational post to send some positive vibes out there. As some of you may know, it took me a lot of courage to start this blog. Along the way of making decisions in starting a blog, I always looked for inspiration and motivation. I have a previous post of three women who I look up and today I'm posting one who has had the biggest impact on my life. This person is super positive, has such an amazing outlook on life, and of course has impeccable style. Mimi Ikonn, owner of Luxy Hair, has been the biggest impact on my decision in starting a fashion blog. Mimi showed me how to follow my dreams, no matter how big or small, to see in the positive in everything and take negativity out of your mindset, and how to be happy and enjoy your life because you only get one. Mimi's blog and YouTube videos always give me the motivation and inspiration boost I need when I'm feeling down. She inspires me to never give up and to always follow my dreams. Mimi, I thank you personally for being such a huge influence in my life ! Your work means so much to me !

Vacation : July 4-11, 2015

This year my family and I went to vacation and of course while I was there, I did some shopping over the course of the week. It's a small town with big personality and my family and I go back every year. I looked around at a few different boutiques, but only bought things from one particular store. The store I bought my vacation goodies in was a boutique called House of Lucky. House of Lucky is a boutique located in Lavallette, New Jersey that offers women's clothing, gifts, house decor, and even clothes for little ones! They have such amazing stuff there and I wanted to give them a shout out because I always look forward to visiting there on my trip and they just have amazing stuff all of the time. I am going to post exactly what I purchased from there in my next post, but for now I wanted to just let you know about my trip ! Hope you enjoyed this post...Have a great day !
