My Blog Design : November 6, 2015

Hello everyone ! I hope everyone is having a wonderful and productive day. I wanted to do a post today on my blog design and why I chose for my blog to look the way that it does. When I first made my blog, I was brand new to figuring out what looks nice and what works. I had a banner or four pictures that I thought looked AMAZING, but after a while I realized I didn't like it that much. As I was doing my research and finding inspiration from some of my favorite fashion bloggers, I knew exactly how I wanted to recreate my blog. I decided on a clean, straight forward look. I know when I look at blogs, I enjoy viewing pages that are neat and straight to the point. I tried to make the layout of my blog myself and after a while of trying, I decided I needed to enlist some help in my design. I tried using some free layouts but they offer too many restrictions. I then found a site that has beautiful designs and I fell in love. The site I came across was called Designer Blogs. They have such cute, clean, and creative themes and layouts that I knew I was in the right place. I purchased my layout and couldn't be happier with it. I plan to further re-vamp my page, but for now I am totally happy with my design and will continue to improve it as I go. I hope you all enjoyed this post. Have a great day!

Marshall's Haul : August 16, 2015

As you all know, Free People is one of my favorite brands and I am always in search of a good deal on this brand because they are a bit pricey. What Purse I Use : August 12, 2015

                              

Hello everyone ! I am being a complete bum today and staying in sweats all day. My baby brother went away for college today and I am so sad =/ ...so instead of posting an outfit, I figured I'd show you all what bag I use every single day. I received this bag as a birthday gift from my boyfriend last year and I honestly have not switched out for another handbag since then. I had been eyeing this bag for a while and was so surprised when I got it for my birthday last year. It is the perfect bag for every day and it is a bag that you can use for a significantly long time. It is a classic shape with a classic neutral color that goes with absolutely everything. It can be worn casually or formally and can be made into a cross body or just a simple handbag with your traditional handles. I love how versatile this bag is and am so glad I get to use it everyday. The quality is amazing and very sturdy, which makes it such a great buy. It is a bit of an investment if you aren't extremely well off and I'm so appreciative I received this as a gift and plan to use it for many years to come. As always, details will be listed below. Outfit of the Day : August 9, 2015

Today, my boyfriend and I went to Smorgasburg in Brooklyn and then over to Manhattan to Magnolia Bakery. It was such a beautiful day that I could't wait to break out this top from Free People. My Skin Care Routine : August 7, 2015

Hello everyone ! Welcome back to my blog ! Today I will be sharing my skin care routine with you. I have struggled with acne ever since the beginning of my teen years. I've tried everything from Pro-Activ to taking oral antibiotics and never could seem to get it under control. Over the years, I've tried different products to see which would suit me the best. My skin reacts to a ton of products and is super sensitive. Recently, I've had the chance to try out the Murad acne starter kit and have been loving it so far. I also received an amazing new product from my boyfriend's mother. She introduced me to the Konjac sponge and I am genuinely amazed by it ! I have a step-by-step regimen of what I use and it has seemed to be working pretty well for me.

Here are my steps for my skin care routine:

1. I cleanse my skin with the Murad clarifying cleanser on my face with warm water.

2. I then towel dry my face and use the Konjac sponge all over my face. I use this also with warm water and massage it in circular motions.

3. I then continue on with Murad's Acne Spot Fast Fix and Acne Clearing Solution.

4. Lastly, I use Murad's Oil-Control Mattifier all over my face and neck.

July Beauty Favorites : August 5, 2015

Hello everyone ! Today I will be writing about my July favorites. I can't believe how quickly July came and went and were into August already. Through the month of July, I found myself reaching to certain items of makeup. In July, I purchased some makeup that I seemed to be reaching for over and over again. I have two particular eye shadow palettes that I absolutely adore! The two palettes are the new Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette and the Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette. These two palettes have neutral, warm tone, cool tone, and smoky colors which make the two of them so easy to work with. I am able to come up with so many looks from these palettes which is why I love them. I also have been loving contouring lately ! I've been doing a light contour on my face in the summer because I don't want to look too dramatic. For contouring, I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit in Light/Medium. I also love an all over bronze look, which is why I've been using this amazing cream bronzer from Chanel. It is called Soleil Tan De Chanel and I learned about this from Jaclyn Hill and I am so thankful I went out and purchased it. It is pricey, but it is definitely worth it and I would recommend it to anyone. The brush I use to apply my cream bronzer is from Real Techniques. The name of the brush is the Sculpting Brush. Nordstrom Anniversary Sale : July 30, 2015

As a fashion blogger, you get so anxious waiting for your next paycheck to come or save up some extra money so that you can go shopping. I always online window shop the week before I'm getting my paycheck to see what I want to buy. For me, I try to buy things that I know will last me for a long time and that are also very versatile, so that I can pair it with things I already have. Over the past few weeks I have been able to (for the most part) pick out some of my favorite things from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. The sale is only open for another few days and it officially ends on August 2nd. The prices will go back to regular retail value on August 3rd. I have already purchased a pair of booties that I am so excited about and cannot wait to style them.
